Overview
A 6-night, 7-day journey through Leh-Ladakh, including Umling La and Tso Moriri, is a thrilling expedition through some of the world’s highest and most stunning landscapes. Starting in Leh, the adventure begins with acclimatization in the heart of Ladakh before heading toward Nubra Valley via the legendary Khardung La Pass. The journey unfolds through the remote beauty of Pangong Tso, with its ever-changing shades of blue, before venturing into the untouched expanses of Hanle, home to one of the world's highest astronomical observatories. The highlight of the trip is the exhilarating drive to Umling La, the highest motorable pass on Earth, offering breathtaking panoramic views. From Hanle, the route leads to the serene Tso Moriri, a high-altitude lake surrounded by rugged mountains and abundant wildlife. Itinerary
DAY 1: LEH ARRIVAL - ACCLIMATIZATION
- Get welcomed as you arrive at 'Land of high passes -Leh' by our representative.
- Today is your day to get acclimatized to the natural cold surrounding.
- You can explore local market and Shanti Stupa.
- Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 2: LEH TO NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA PASS
- After breakfast, we will be heading towards Nubra Valley
- Ride through one of the highest civilian motorable pass of the world, Khardung La Pass; spend some time at the Khardung La Top
- Ride to the Diskit Monastery for a brilliant view of Nubra Valley
- Stop at Hundar Sand dunes and Enjoy a double-humped Camel ride in the cold desert
- Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight at camps/cottages

DAY 3: NUBRA TO PANGONG TSO VIA SHYOK
- Enjoy a delicious breakfast and leave Leh to visit the majestic Pangong Tso.
- We will arrive at Pangong Tso in the late afternoon, the lake which is famous for having the most beautiful setting and changes its colors 4 to 5 times a day.
- Enjoy your evening with the beautiful view of the Lake amidst towering snow-capped mountains.
- Dinner and overnight stay at camps at Pangong.
DAY 4: PANGONG TO HANLE
- After Breakfast head for tiny village Hanly. Hanly is a off beat destination of Ladakh region. This village situated in the southeastern end of Jammu and Kashmir and comes under the Changthang region. It is a 8 to 9-hr long drive from Pangong and close to the Indo-China Border. You will pass through the Lukung and Chushul Valley (close to the Indo-China border)
- Reach Hanle in the evening, you will visit the famous Chandra Telescope (Hanle Observatory) of Indian Institute of Astrophysics - world's second highest optical telescope .
- Check-in at the home stay/ Hotel and enjoy delicious Ladakhi dinner Overnight stay in Hanle.
DAY 5: HANLE - UMLINGLA - HANLE
- After having breakfast will move towards Umling La to witness the world’s highest motorable road.
- After having a good picture will proceed towards Hanle and reach Hanle by evening. Overnight stay in Hanle followed by dinner.
DAY 6: HANLE TO TSOMORIRI
- Post breakfast, leave for Tsomoriri Lake (14,000 ft), drive on the way visiting Nyoma-Mahe bridge making one realize the untapped beauty of mother nature. We see the landscapes change throughout the ride before reaching the lake.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Campsite.
DAY 7: TSOMORIRI TO LEH
- After a delicious breakfast, head back to Leh.
- Pass through the picturesque landscape around that gives this place extremely romantic and breathtaking vibes.
- Take a stopover at traditional attractions and reach Leh.
- Visit Leh market to shop for some goods and enjoy Ladakhi cuisine.
- Overnight stay at hotel in Leh
